What is Biblical Life Coaching?

Coaching is a term that is loosely used in many circles today. Much of what is passed on as coaching isn’t coaching at all. Coaching is a science and an art that requires deep learning and an abundance of practice. The coach isn’t the expert. The coachee is the expert. Within the coaching relationship, the coach functions as the researcher, gathering valuable information for the coachee to examine and learn from. The coach’s general posture is one of curious inquiry.

The coach in essence helps the coachee unleash the blessings of God in their life. Instead of living a blocked life, unaware of the favor God wants to demonstrate to His children, the coachee learns how to live the blessed life.

"The price of progress is the pain of change."

Coaching is a

ministry tool.

Coaching is a

co-created relationship.

Coaching is a powerful alliance between a coach and coachee where listening and asking powerful questions is involved.

What Biblical Life Coaching is NOT:

It’s NOT therapy

Therapy is helping to untie the knots that have formed in a person’s life from their past in order to bring them to a place of wholeness.

It’s NOT consulting

Consulting says, I have a level of expertise in this area so let me give you advice accordingly.

It’s NOT mentoring

Mentoring says, I am going to train you and advise you to a specific end.

"To earn more you must learn more."

~Brian Tracy

Coaching deals with (you) the coachee’s  present and future – where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow. It is a collaborative co-active relationship that supports you the (coachee) in your fulfillment, balance and the process of your life.

Coaching is a powerful partnership designed to promote and forward the lifelong process of growth, effectiveness and achievement around the God-given purpose for your life.

Coaching involves operating in a broad expansive space with (you) the coachee as they examine what is possible in their life to achieve, accomplish and acquire all that God has for them personally, professionally, relationally, and spiritually.

Coaches are committed to helping all those who are around them perform at their best, while reaching their full potential in Christ.

Coaching is about serving others while expanding your own personal horizon in a grand space of creativity.

Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
